Simple food skillfully executed
My first experience in the kitchen was at Yellowstone National Park which taught me the importance of hard work and discipline. From there I moved to Charleston, South Carolina. I worked for some of Charleston's finest restaurants such as Xiao Bao Biscuit, Grill 225, Indaco, and Chez Nous.
In Charlston I was able to learn that there was a way to connect history to cooking and that is where my passion for cooking was really discovered. I was inspired to dig deep into learning the history of the foods that I am most passionate about. I feel if I'm going to make food from other countries, I should have a strong understanding of their cultures and flavors.
That first bite of the meal should be memorable. I want to help create memories with an enjoyable meal where life can be put on pause for a moment. Let me give you the experience of the bold flavors of places that you have always wanted to go.
